Overview – Samsic Assistance

Founded in 1986 in Rennes, Samsic Group is today a European leader in business services, present in 27 countries and employing over 150,000 people. Its expertise spans three main areas: Airport Services, Human Resources, and Facility Services.

In 2008, the Group launched Samsic Assistance, its subsidiary dedicated to airport operations. Operating in France and internationally, Samsic Assistance offers a comprehensive range of ground handling services:

  • Passenger services (check-in, boarding, VIP welcome, PRM assistance)

  • Ramp services (baggage loading/unloading, sorting, de-icing, push-back)

  • GSE management and maintenance

  • Aircraft cleaning

  • Security services and baggage screening

Since its expansion into North America in 2020 through organic growth, Samsic Assistance has rapidly developed across six key stations:

  • Canada: Montréal–Trudeau (YUL), Vancouver (YVR), Edmonton (YEG), Calgary (YYC)

  • United States: Chicago O’Hare (ORD), San Francisco (SFO)

As part of its Canadian development, Samsic Assistance will take over TSAS’s equipment and assets at Montréal–Trudeau International Airport (YUL) starting September 1, 2025.

This strategic operation aims to establish our Montréal base as a structured and fully integrated station, reflecting Samsic’s ambition to build an agile, resilient platform capable of supporting sustainable growth.
